What Works/What Doesn’t Work Charts

The following are charts of what works and what doesn’t work for bright kids with learning difficulties.

TIPS

Teacher

Use as a self-evaluation checklist. Use charts when planning for instruction. Use as a communication tool with parents, other staff members, and students.

Parent

Use as an evaluation tool of your child’s school experience. Use it for creating questions to ask at conferences. Work with your child to implement what works and what doesn’t work regarding homework.

Student

Ask your teacher and parent about what works and what doesn’t work for you. Use the chart information when practicing self-advocacy skills.
